Typesaurus Has Been Retired

I put many years of effort and passion into developing Typesaurus. While I see a ton of value in type-safe Firestore ODM, I'm sad to admit that there's nothing for me in it anymore.

I'm proud of the result and pretty sure, at the time of writing (Sep 2026), nobody came close to achieving the same level of type safety and documentation quality as I did. I'm also proud to say that I gave it a fair chance. I worked hard on polishing the DX, writing documentation, and also promoting it.

Unfortunately, it was a lonely journey. I didn't manage to find enough attention, both from the community and inside the Firebase team. Such a project requires continuous maintenance and updates to keep up with Firebase updates. Without community interest, it's difficult to find motivation to keep it up.

So starting today, Monday, September 2026, Typesaurus is officially retired.

I've archived the repositories on GitHub but will keep them publicly available as long as GitHub allows me (including WIP projects):

I can't promise keeping typesaurus.com online indefinitely, but I will try my best.
